We developed a battery-powered 5G connectivity cube for a project of the Leibnitz Research Institute of Ecology and Agriculture.
In this project, we developed a system to control the vehicle's standard headlights and tail lights via a web application without the need for the actual car. We customized animations for the lights, assigned light segments and tested different light signatures to ensure functionality. This setup simplified the testing of light functionality, including projected images through shining headlights. We also made it possible to offer changeable light signatures for different lighting configurations via a USB stick.
For two concept vehicles, we implemented the entire electrical and electronic systems and controlled the entire cabling process. A holistic vehicle user interface and user experience (UI/UX) was developed and seamlessly integrated into a 10.1-inch touch display. In addition, we installed a 4.8-inch display that provides real-time information on indicators, gear steps and speed. The project also included the implementation of a touchscreen to control the vehicle's HVAC functions. Both the interior and exterior lighting were made fully controllable via the touch interface and a web application. Finally, a remote diagnostics and update system was integrated to ensure continuous monitoring and software maintenance.
In this project, we implemented real-time video manipulation for various vehicle displays, including the head-up display, the instrument cluster, the cameras and the infotainment system. We enabled partial or full manipulation of the original vehicle content, which could be captured with GMSL2/3 or FPDLink-III and displayed on a PC or web server. In addition, we provided functions to manipulate touch events, enabling improved control and testing of the displays.
The company name is made up of the first letters of the surnames of the founders (Sebastian) Zech and (Dennis) Rosenbohm.
For this project, we made extensive modifications to the vehicle, including the design and placement of various parts and cabling. We successfully integrated key system components such as a server, LIDAR, radar, and the associated brackets. We also implemented a separate 48-Volt power supply system to meet the vehicle's electrical needs and ensure efficient operation.
For this people mover concept vehicle, we synchronized the video content on five displays to enable automatic playback and replay, and implemented a content update system via Ethernet that allows for easy drag-and-drop updating.
We developed and integrated both exterior and interior lighting systems, including animated exterior lighting effects. A touch button was installed for the door release and the vehicle was equipped with a 48V battery system. We successfully integrated and set up the battery management system (BMS) and carried out the integration and configuration of the powertrain and its control system. In addition, we implemented a brake-by-wire system to improve the control and responsiveness of the vehicle.
We developed a customized LED control system for VW that met specific customer requirements and could be easily integrated into the existing vehicle prototype.
We, Sebastian and Dennis, founded the company ZERO on August 31, 2020, in order to break new ground and feel comfortable again in our everyday work. After working for several years in medium-sized businesses and corporations, we felt a creeping dissatisfaction and a loss of meaning. The activities were mainly oriented towards the business figures and no longer towards employees and customers.
Numbers are without question important for a company! More important to us are the people in and around the company. This perspective is our North Star: Feeling comfortable with each other and the framework conditions is our overriding goal. By this we mean everyone who is connected with us: Employees, customers, suppliers, consultants, landlords and everyone else. We only work with people with whom we feel comfortable.
Under this premise, our employees can concentrate entirely on the unique tasks of our customers.
Those who develop special electronics for mobility want to work with ZERO because we are comfortable with the results.
Openness: We deal openly with each other and maintain an open-minded communication style. That's why colleagues can help us when we get stuck. Because only those who say what is holding them back can be helped. Openness is also our approach to dealing with weaknesses.
Clarity: We strive to communicate in an understandable way and not hide behind phrases. Only when everyone has a similar understanding of problems can they become part of the solution.
Trust: We trust each other not only on a business level, but also on a human level. For us, this is part of fair mutual cooperation.
From our values comes loyalty to our employees and customers. Which counts as the highest value.
